Meaning
What Is Kaal Sarp Dosh?
In Vedic astrology, Rahu is seen as the head of a serpent and Ketu as its tail. Rahu and Ketu are always exactly opposite each other in a kundali. When all seven planets – Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn – fall on one side of this Rahu–Ketu line, it looks as if the serpent has caught all the planets. This is called Kaal Sarp Dosh or Kaal Sarp Yog.
It is believed that this placement can slow down the good results of the other planets in the kundali. That is why people with this dosh often say that their hard work takes longer to show results.
Full Kaal Sarp Dosh
All seven planets are between Rahu and Ketu, and none is on the other side. This is the complete form of the dosh.
Partial Kaal Sarp Dosh
